Grief, that inevitable emotion that no one wants to go through. Give me joy! Give me happiness! Give me compassion! Give me wonder! Who do we know, who says, Give me grief? When grief walks through your door, you know it wants to move in for a while. And granted, it is preferable to go through the grieving process to come out the other side with more awareness and purpose and gratitude for the life lessons learned. Grief is challenging at the very least and has the capacity to keep us numb and raw for life. The flower essences that I have created are not designed to restrict the grieving process, but merely to allow the grief to follow it’s natural course without stagnation.

Flower Essences for Grief: Good Grief

We’ve all heard of the 5 stages of grief; Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. After my brother’s death last week, I certainly had a quick bout with denial.  Like “Are you —kidding me?  Nothing a few doses of Rescue S.O.S. flower essences couldn’t handle. Honestly I don’t know where I fall in this spectrum.  I might have skipped Anger and Bargaining and moved into some depression.  You know how depression can be.  It sneaks up on you, periodically, and pokes you here and there.  Lately the flower essences that I have been using to move through my grief are a flower essence blend we call “Good Grief”.  Good Grief flower essences work specifically to help you walk through the dark and emerge into the light, feeling reconnected to life.  It works really well for recovering from shock and trauma, allowing renewal of spirit.  It enhances the ability to process grief in a meaningful way.  It restores the belief of perfect harmony in all things.  It helps us move through darkness of spirit into renewal of self.

In the middle of this grief, I had a HUGE gift delivered to me via Skype and Facebook.  I was able to connect with my brother’s biological daughter, Marcie, who I knew about but had never had the opportunity to meet or know.  I have had a lot of death in my family of origin.  And so, I have some deep, meaningful perspectives on what happens after you think that the worst thing just happened.  Typically you learn a very valuable lesson that you can take with you to spin positive for life. But in all my years and all my experiences, I have never been presented with this kind of gift from the Universe in such a speedy, wonderful way.  I may have lost my brother to the Skagit River, but I gained the most unbelievable, beautiful spirited niece.  Thank you Universe! Thank you for Marcie and her family and thank you for the flower essences. You have no idea how grateful I truly am.
